Yesterday during Tesla’s earnings call, they announced that the official unveiling of the long-awaited Model 3. For you newcomers here, the newest Tesla will be a more affordable version of the Model S and X. The date is March 31st and only a few weeks away.
Now mind you, this isn’t an actual release date as it is just an unveiling. I hope it’s not a partial unveiling like just seeing the front grill or something like that. The Model 3 is set to go on sale early 2017 now that they have their new production factory up and running. Before tax incentives, the Model 3 will be priced around the $35,000 range. After incentives, you could pay only around $25,000 for it.
Tesla will also be taking reservations for the Model 3 that day as well. $1,000 down will be accepted in Tesla stores on March 31st and online on April 1st. The upcoming Tesla is said to get around 200 miles per charge. With Chevy and other automakers upping their electric vehicle efforts, the next 2 years should be interesting for the electric car revolution.
