Verizon is getting ready for a do-over in regards to their connected car efforts. Say goodbye to Verizon Vehicle and hello to Hum. Verizon Vehicle was originally announced back in January of last year. In regards to making your regular car into a connected one.
Think of it as an accessory to give your vehicle OnStar-like abilities.
With Hum, you can get access to remote access to your car’s location, driving history, speeding habits, vehicle health monitoring, roadside/emergency assistance, and stolen vehicle tracking. The newest feature adds a teen monitor which will add the ability to see trip history like duration, average speeds, and start/end times. This will be quite the tool for parents of younger drivers to get updates in real-time.
You can get all of this for only $15 monthly that includes the diagnostics module & hands-free visor. These all work in pairing w/ the Hum smartphone app which is available for both Android & iOS. Those of you interested who subscribe now will get your 1st month of Hum for free.
