Chevrolet has made plenty of strides in the automotive industry throughout the years, lately w/ their hybrid vehicle the Volt. Now it's time for them to step things up tot he next level w/ the completely electric vehicle: the Bolt. Announced at the top of this year, the Bolt is now available for all to see at the 2016 NY Auto Show.
The Bolt's shape & design is mirrored after vehicles like the Ford C-Max w/ its hatchback layout. Inside you have a 10.2inch touchscreen display as part of the center console that manages your range/battery life, navigation, radio, weather, and Android Auto + Apple CarPlay interface support. You also have OnStar 4G LTE for in-car Wi-Fi support as well. In the back, you have folding rear seats to fit several passengers as well as pack in several items for travelling/moving. Moving on to the battery side of things, you have a 60 kWh battery capable of 200 plus miles per charge and can go 0-60MPH in 7 seconds. It will take around 9 hours for a full charge to get the most out of your vehicle.
The Bolt will go into production later this year here in the US, the pricing is set to be around $30,000. So a more practical-looking EV in the Model 3 from Tesla isn't what you're looking for.
