With NAB 2016 kicking off this week, DJI was front and center to unveil some of the new things they have been working on. Yes, it is a new drone but this one isn’t aimed at the consumer drone market but more so the content creators in Hollywood. Meet the next-gen Matric 600 or the M600: a drone big enough to carry cameras like the Red Epic and more.
Along w/ being able to lift more, you got a new flight controller (the A3) w/ the option of 3 GPS units and 3 measurement units that can create a flight path down to the centimeter. The M600 also has a new video downlink (the LightBridge 2) that can stream video in 1080p at 60fps from up to 3 miles away. It also supports every all DJI cameras + ZenMuse gimbals along w/ their newest Ronin MX handheld camera stabilizer which will cost you $1,599.
The new M600 also offers retractable landing gear to not be seen within your shot, dust-proof propellers, and self-cool motors. It uses a total of 6 batteries at the same time so if one dies the others pick up so you can keep flying & shooting. It will cost you $4,599 and is available right now.
