This morning, Nextbit announced a huge update for their flagship & only device: the Robin. For the uninitiated, the Robin is a different take on Android by folks who’ve worked on the platform as a part of different companies and now one.
The big update offers up Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow that includes the latest security patch, new emoji pack, better handling of their processor for improved performance + battery life, new camera app w/ better + faster performance for its 13MP shooter, and better sound tuning via headphone jack & dual speakers by French audio firm Arkamys. But wait, there’s more.
Robin also announced a partnership w/ Danish audio brand AIAIAI to offer a special pair of TMA-2 headphones. These cans will offer a high-sensitive neodymium speaker unit w/ dynamic bass + treble, low profile headband, and leather earpads. The cans also have the standard line-in mic on the cable as well as sporting the Nextbit Mint color. The new headphones will be sold on Nextbit’s site for $225.
