Its been a while since Netflix has raised their pricing, May of 2014 to be exact. They charged new subscribers $9.99 per month instead of the $7.99 per month for 2 screen stream. Looks like everyone is about to get hit w/ that increase.
In May of 2016, looks like all grandfathered subscribers will have to pay $9.99 per month to keep watching your favorite shows or original series on Netflix. While their movies are shrinking, their original content is growing at an amazing rate. This might be enough to keep you satisfied.
To check on your status of what you will have to pay, go to your account settings page on the Netflix site. There you will see “your price plan is guaranteed until…”. Now as much as some of you out there might complain a bit, I doubt the masses will be cancelling their subscriptions of this. I know I won’t.
