Moto-360-watchIf you own the 1st generation Moto 360 or the LG G Watch, you’re gonna want to hear this.  According to the support teams on both LG & Motorola, they will not get the new Android Wear 2.0 update.  So Google is more or less forcing you to upgrade to newer watch hardware.

The new version of Android Wear was unveiled at I/O a few weeks back.  It will offer up several new treats like a new navigation UI, better Google Fit support, handwriting input support, and more.  The older Moto 360 won’t support probably due to its TI OMAP CPU and the G Watch has been discontinued.  The battery life on the 2nd-gen Moto 360 alone is worth the upgrade.
