Apple-logo1With Apple’s WWDC 2016 kicking off next week, it has been pretty quiet on the Apple rumor mill these days.  Usually, we would hear a bunch of stuff relating to new software & possible hardware upgrades that don’t include the iPhone of course.  There is a new report floating around for a new MacBook on the way w/ some tantalizing features.

The folks over at 9to5Mac and KGI Securities analyst suggests for a newer version of their Retina MacBook Pro.  For starters, it will have the atypical thinner & lighter design borrowed from the 12inch MacBook.  It looks to finally add Touch ID support and a new OLED display touch bar above the keyboard.  The OLED touch bar will replace the function keys on the top row of the keyboard.  This will help the new hinges that come w/ the new design to close easier.  And lastly on the port side of things, it will have USB-C & Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Now we may not see an announcement for this in regards to WWDC but it is set to launch later in the year around Q4.  We do have the possible arrival of Siri integration set to be unveiled next week.   Might be a good time to grab/update your MacBook this year.
