Earlier today, Samsung made their 2nd-gen Gear fitness tracker official w/ the Gear Fit 2. The original Fit came out 2 years ago and while it looked great , it didn’t offer much else to consumers. Lucky for us, they’ve been learning and taking notes w/ the sequel.
The Fit 2 offers a 1.5inch Super AMOLED curved display, powered by a dual-core 1GHz Exynos CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, running its own Tizen OS w/ support for Android devices + notifications, GPS, heart rate monitor, Bluetooth 4.2, 200 mAh battery, and a body that is IP68 water/dust resistant. You also have 15 different activity tracking modes and a custom Spotify music player.
The Fit 2 will arrive in 2 sizes of Small & Large w/ 3 colors of Black, Pink, & Blue. Pre-orders kick off tomorrow as you can reserve yours at Amazon, Best Buy, Macy’s, Samsung, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The fitness band will go on sale on & offline on June 10th for $179.
