Yes, an iris scanner is definitely coming to the Galaxy Note 7 at this point. All of the leaks pretty much say yes so after a few years of speculation, it is coming. There’s more info arriving on the matter courtesy of Weibo that came through last week.
We got to see some images of the iris scanner interface within TouchWiz. So you will be able to utilize the feature to authenticate (even faster than the fingerprint scanner) as well as to unlock the device. As you can see from the image above, you’ll have to hold the Note 7 about 25-35cm away (at an arm’s length more or less) from your face for it to work. You’ll need to look at the 2 circles (image below) utilizing the front-facing camera along w/ newer sensors under the hood for recognition.
Along w/ that, we’re expecting to see a 5.7inch QHD curved Super AMOLED display, Exynos or Snapdragon CPU, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage via microSD slot, IP68 certification, 12MP dDualPixel rear-shooter, and a 3600 or 4000 mAh battery inside.
