NABJ leadThis time last week, we were in Washington D.C. just wrapping up the Inspired Mobility chat w/ Rev Run at NABJ x NAHJ 2016.  I was making sure all of the photos/videos from the event hit the social networks.  I have been back for almost a full week as I have hit the ground running.

NABJ was an amazing experience as it was my 1st time attending.  It was a lot going on in regards to what to do like several sessions, luncheons, screenings, career fairs, and an amazing Gospel Brunch.  While I wasn't able to attend as many sessions as I'd like to due to overcrowding, I was able to sit in on a few of them to soak in some knowledge.  I was able to check out the Digital Media Bootcamp and the Multimedia Journalism sessions.  Also, I was able to watch a screening of the upcoming Disney film: Queen Of Katwe w/ Lupita Nyongo present and the premiere episode of Ava DuVernay's Queen Sugar coming to the OWN Network.

NABJ IM-5Last Friday afternoon was the day of AT&T's Inspired Mobility session and it was quite eventful.  The room the Inspired Mobility chat took place in was packed as many attendees had to listen/watch from outside the room as everyone wanted to see what the good Reverend had to say.  Needless to say, Rev Run dropped tons of gems throughout the chat and even blessed us w/ a short freestyle to let us know he still got bars.  I was able to record the entire Rev Run fireside chat hosted by Black Enterprise's Alfred Edmonds on Facebook Live.  It is just under 50 minutes as you can watch it below as your own leisure.

A huge thanks to AT&T for allowing me the opportunity to attend and help spread the word on their Inspired Mobility campaign again this year.  To get more information on everything in regards to the Inspired Mobility movement, click here and/or search #InspiredMobility on all social networks.  You can also download Rev Run's book of inspirational quotes right here.
