Kicking off their iPhone 7 event w/ a lovely surprise announcement by adding Nintendo to the App Store. But not quite how you think. They’re doing so w/ an original Mario game called Super Mario Run that will be exclusive to all things iOS of course – not sure for how long. I know many of you are saying, ‘finally!’
It sounds like its like Mario Temple Run but no its more like an original side scrolling version w/ Apple getting dibs on it. It will offer a competitive mode that will allow you to battle against someone online for the best completion time. This is going far beyond the Miis that Nintendo originally offered. And no despite what you might think, Pokémon Go is not made by Nintendo but Niantic Labs so this will be their 1st true mobile game.
Super Mario Run will be available on the App Store later this year in time for the holidays.
