pixel-xl-vs-nexus-6p-1Google is looking to really make their mark within the consumer space for smartphones.  As their developer-based Nexus program comes to an end, the consumer-based Pixel & Pixel XL steps in.  The Nexus 6P is last year’s favorite for pure Android enthusiasts (including myself).  Pixels are a more concise vision for what Google wants consumers to experience as a smartphone.  Now that the 6P has Android 7.1.1, it’s now the perfect time to pit it and the Pixel XL against each other for stock Android supremacy.

Our battle consists of Display, Performance, and Camera.  Both have a QHD AMOLED display, 12.3MP cameras, and large batteries.  The Pixel does offer a leg for the more powerful internals w/ a Snapdragon 821 & 4GB of RAM as opposed to the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 & 3GB of RAM on the 6P.  The Pixel uses electronic stabilization for video while the 6P has OIS w/ newer Sony sensor + imaging software against the older ones.  And lastly, the Pixel is the only way to experience the new Google Assistant outside of using Google’s Allo messaging app.

The specs between the 2 aren’t too far off but the details are always within the actual experience of using it.  Is it time for Nexus owners to upgrade to the Pixel or just stick w/ what you already have?  We answer that question and more in our video below.  Our 6P vs Pixel XL battle awaits you.
