Welcome to 2017 everyone! It is time for CES 2017 and kicking things off is Lenovo w/ some interesting things to share w/ us. They just unveiled their entrance into the connected speaker market w/ their own Lenovo Smart Assistant.
Think a Google Home design w/ an Echo body.
This is a cylinder-shaped speaker that is powered by Amazon’s Alexa to handle all of their smart services that you may require. Inside lies a far-field mic, a Hi-Def 5-watt treble & a 10-watt woofer along w/ an Intel Celeron CPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a trigger button. It looks to share all of the same abilities as the Amazon Echo but in a better-looking package.
The speaker is set to arrive in May for $130 along w/ a Harman Kardon Edition for $180. Anyone looking to give Lenovo’s connected speaker a shot?
