This morning, Nest unveiled their newest product in the home security area w/ the Nest Cam IQ. The Cam IQ offers a high-end security camera experience over anything else in their product lineup. For starters, it has an 8MP camera capable of 4K video but output at only 1080p, 12x digital zoom, HDR mode, and 2 940mm infrared LEDs to make capturing at night easier to see.
Along w/ that, you have a 130-degree field of view w/ up-close tracking & picture-in-picture mode, a 3-mic setup to better handle noise & echo, and speakers that are 7x better than 1st Nest Cam. All photos/videos recorded are encrypted w/ 128-bit AES before going to a server and then you got 2-factore authentication.
You can pre-order yours right now int he US for $299 and will be available by the end of June. You also have the option to grab a 2-pack of cameras for $498 as well.
