After a few light leaks on the current flagship from Motorola, the 2nd-gen Z Force is here. The name is the Moto Z2 Force to be exact. On the surface, it looks similar to the Z2 Play but w/ a dual camera setup but we know the internals on this is more powerful.

Like the Z2 Play, it will got slimmer & the battery got smaller.

You a 5.5inch QHD display, powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 835 CPU, the choice for 4GB RAM/64GB storage, a dual 12MP rear-facing camera w/ depth effects along w/ phase + last-ditch autofocus, a 5MP front-facing camera, an all-day 2720 mAh battery, a much stronger form of ShatterShield, and support for gigabit LTE.

Back to that new ShatterShield, it is now thinner, lighter, and made of 7000 aluminum. It also retains its 5-layer assembly setup. The Z Force now has advanced water protection w/ a repellant coating.

The Z2 Force will no longer be tied to just Verizon as the standard Moto Z was available to all. So this means AT&T, Sprint, & T-Mobile can now get in on the ShatterShield action. Pre-orders kick off today and go on sale on August 10th for a whopping $800. You’ll get a free Insta-share projector when you reserve one.

So who’s looking to upgrade to this? Who just wants better Moto Mods? Sound off.
