For those of you waiting to get a hold of Levi’s smart jacket aka their Commuter Trucker jacket powered by Google’s Jacquard technology. It is finally going on sale this week w/ a price tag of $350. So we can officially enter the world of fashion technology beyond what many would consider Apple.
The Trucker Jacket utilizes Bluetooth & a touchable part of the jacket’s sleeve to interact w/ apps + your phone. So what can you do with this? You’ll be able to play/pause or skip songs on your playlist, get directions, hear/feel notifications and more. Don’t worry as it is still a denim jacket and can remove the touchable section for washing.
You’ll be able to grab the jacket tomorrow, September 27th at select physical stores and more places online on October 2nd. Interesting to see how far it came from Google I/O 2015 to a full-fledged product now.
