In case you forgot, Google Lens is a computer vision system that utilizes your phone’s camera to get info on an object in real-time via AI-powered algorithm. It was unveiled back at Google I/O this year and a preview version made it to the Pixel 2. Yesterday, Google announced that a lot more Pixel phones will get access to Google Lens via Assistant very soon.
Currently, it can only be accessed via your camera roll/Google Photos but that will change over the coming weeks. The full feature set will arrive to all Pixel phones in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, & Singapore. When it arrives, you’ll be able to access Lens via the Assistant on the bottom right corner.
So who’s excited to start using this on their Pixel phone when it arrives?
