Looks like Google is tired of Audible controlling the audiobook lane. The folks over at 9to5Google caught a banner on one of their pages about Audiobooks coming to the Google Play Store.
You can see it above as they will be poaching new users by offering 50% off of their 1st purchase. It looks like you will be able to navigate through chapters, make save points that will sync over multiple devices, and Google Cast ability as well.
Unfortunately, there is no word on when it will arrive for all to use but it is a long awaited feature for some users out there I am sure. I would be one of them as I recently cut my Audible subscription.
