CES can’t go by w/o Samsung dropping some new heat on the TV side of things. Introducing the first modular TV utilizing MicroLED technology instead of LCD or OLED w/ The Wall by Samsung.
This is modular as this consists of several panels put together to make it a 146inch TV or a smaller size to actually fit into most homes. MicroLED works similar to OLED but every single microscopic LED creates its own light w/o the need for a backlight. So you’re still getting the deep blacks & popping bright colors you would get from an OLED.
So think of The Wall as a working concept that Samsung will be selling later this year. The official launch for The Wall will kick off later this Spring as we can expect more details like launch date & pricing. With this using new tech and being a 146inch TV, expect this cost a couple of stacks.
