Well, that didn’t take long at all. Yesterday, Google made its new addition to the Books section in the Play Store official. Welcome Google Play Audiobooks: no monthly subscription needed as you just buy the book you want to listen to.
The joys of Google’s audiobooks is that now you can just buy one at a time, add them to your Family Library, have Google Assistant read them on your phone or Google Home device, support over multiple devices, cast them to supporting products, and works on Android & iOS. Support for Android Auto is coming soon as well.
And make things even sweeter, Google is shaving off 50% off of your 1st purchase. You can find the promo when you enter the Books section of Google Play. It has a pretty good selection at launch from ‘Fire & Fury, Ready Player One, The Subtle Art Of Not A Giving A Fuck, and more.
