Despite coming off of a failed drone attempt & layoffs, GoPro announced a new action camera to their lineup yesterday.  This isn’t a new high-end model but a new entry-level camera for those looking to get started w/ action cameras.  It is simply called the GoPro Hero.

It looks like Hero5 & 6 but lacks any 4K & slow-motion video capabilities.  But you still have a 2inch touchscreen display. voice control, digital video stabilization, waterproof up to 30ft, has a 10MP sensor that can record video up to 1440p @60fps, and continuous shooting @10fps.

This will replace the GoPro Hero5 Session and only cost you $200.  You won’t have to wait as it is already available for purchase.  GoPro is working on more cameras set to arrive later this year.

Will you be picking one of these up?
