This morning, Spotify had a press event in NYC that beefed up their free version of their app to offer even more. More so a redesigned take on the free mobile app to be more exact.
So what’s new? You no longer have to deal w/ shuffled tunes as you can now rock out to more. Like songs form your own curated playlsit or songs on-demand that appears in one of your 15 personalized discovery playlists like from RapCaviar, Viva Latino, Ultimate Indie, Alternative R&B, Discover Weekly, Release Radar and Daily Mix. Spotify made sure to add a low data mode to utilize only 75% of data to stream your tunes. This definitely helps if you’re on a slower connection or a data plan w/ a low cap.
Spotify is looking to grow their user base as more than half of their Premium subscribers started off as free users. The new free Spotify app is rolling out worldwide in coming weeks. So who’s gonna grab this & stream some tunes?
