Yesterday Amazon announced another addition to the Fire TV family and perhaps the only one that you need. Introducing the Fire TV Cube: a media box powered Amazon’s Alexa to allow you to control everything from your TV, soundbars, & more via your voice or standard remote.
The Fire TV Cube is armed w/ far-field microphones for voice control, powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, 16GB of storage, dual-band MIMO Wi-Fi, ethernet, IR receiver + extender, micro-USB, single HDMI, capable of 4K @60fps, HDR-10, & Dolby Atmos support. So w/ it, you can turn on/off your TV, adjust the volume on your TV/soundbar, switch to cable, control your smart home, send messages, listen to music, and and so on and so forth.
Sound interesting? Well, you can pre-order the Fire TV Cube for $120 but you can grab it for only $90 now for Prime members. The Cube ships on June 21st.
So who’s adding to this your home or will you pass on it?
