Yesterday, AT&T announced that those of you who are still running around w/ that older unlimited everything plan from back in the day will have to pay a little bit more. Get ready for another price increase. It’s not a huge one but still more $ out of pocket every month.
That unlimited plan will go from $40 per month to $45 per month starting in July. So you’re basically paying an extra $5 fee to keep AT&T’s network stable. The carrier says their customers are using mobile data are ridiculously high levels these days. This is to be expected as, after a while, they’ll do some things to get you folks off of that plan.
It’s an extra $5 month that an extra $60 per year. Again, not much but it adds up. So along w/ this & throttling, AT&T and Verizon are doing what they can to free up space on their grandfathered unlimited plans. So there you have it, you’ve been briefed.
