Well, it seems like among the reign of Android smartphones launching, we got some news about one of the flagships for the 2nd half of the year.  On Friday, we got wind of the some news on the upcoming Note 9 from Samsung.

Thanks to a report from the folks over at Bloomberg, Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9th in NYC.  As far as what ti offer & look like, it will look close to last year’s Note 8 in regards to the exterior.  We can presume they’ll move the placement of the rear fingerprint reader as I doubt the in-display fingerprint reader will be ready for prime-time by then.

As far as the internals, we’ll see a new CPU (more than likely the Snapdragon 845 in the US & a new Exynos overseas), there was talks of a larger internal storage of 512GB, and upgrade cameras.  We’re not sure if they’re going 3 cameras, using the same sensors from the Galaxy S9+, or a mix of both.  We heard  that the new Bixby 2.0 would launch w/ the Note 9.  Bixby’s has been a bit more interesting so hopefully they got some new features to draw the crowd.

The August 9th reveal would put the Note 9 on sale by the end of August as well.  This would give them a few weeks to move some units before Apple reveals their new iPhone.

Who’s looking forward to the Note 9 or are you kind fatigued w/ the annual releases/updates of phones?
