Remember that JBL Link Bar, which offers Android TV & Google Assistant on a sound bar that was announced back at I/O? We finally got the missing details about it that some of you may have been waiting for.
Effective yesterday, the soundbar became available for pre-order here in the US for $399 and will begin shipping in October. The recap, this is a 100-watt soundbar that supports wireless subwoofers and offers Android TV interface as well as always-on Google Assistant voice control. You’ll have your own interface w/ Assistant commands. So this is a bit smarter than other soundbars at the moment.
This is an interesting take on soundbars as it got a welcoming reception at I/O from most of the media/attendees. I’m looking forward to seeing how this is actually executed.
