Yesterday, Microsoft announced a new way to get an Xbox One and other things like Xbox Live & their Game Pass – all in one plan called Xbox All Access. This is an interesting way for gamers to get in for a new console as well as other services.
All Access allows you to more or less lease an Xbox One S or Xbox One X for $22 or $35 per month. This would be monthly plan that would last 2 years and would save you like $20 over the course of 24 months. With the console of choice, you would get Xbox Live Gold & Game Pass bundled into one payment. So w/ Live Gold, you’ll get access to multiplayer gaming, snatch up free games monthly, & more. The Xbox Game Pass is their monthly game subscription service that Microsoft usually sells for $10 per month.
While the plan sounds good, the downsides are that you can only buy All Access in person at a Microsoft Store. You also have to sign up for a Dell Preferred Account to establish credit. Which adds a bit of complication to the mix. However, you can buy the plan at full cost upfront but it may not make much sense to do so.
So who’s signing up for Xbox All Access to get a Xbox One X and access to games?
