Yesterday along w/ the V40 ThinQ, LG also unveiled a new smartwatch that is different from everything we’ve seen thus far.  Introducing the LG Watch W7: half Wear OS-powered smartwatch & part timepiece w/ mechanical hands.

The Watch W7 offers a 1.2inch LCD display w/ 360 x 360 resolution + mechanical hands on top, powered by the older Snapdragon Wear 2100 CPU, 767MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, accelerometer, altimeter, barometer, and a 240 mAh battery – all inside of a dust + water-resistant 44.5mm case.

BTW, the mechanical hands move out of the way when accessing many smartwatch features.  Normally, you can get up to 2-days of battery life via Wear OS but in Watch Mode, the W7 offers a 100-day battery life.

Pre-orders for the LG Watch W7 kicks off on the 7th and is coming to Best Buy on October 14th for a whopping $450.  Yikes!  Not sure if this is worth the $$$ w/o a heart-rate monitor on board but everything changes after the Apple Watch Series 4.  Which is $50 cheaper, BTW.

What’re your thoughts on the LG Watch W7?
