And last but not least, Apple’s crown jewel for the event: the new-and-improved iPad Pro. At first glance, you see they’ve implemented iPhone X-like design language minus the notch. The smaller sized one gets bigger and a lot of new features. Let’s dive into it.
Peace out Home Button + headphone jack.
Now we have an 11inch & 12.9inch iPad Pro as the previous 10.5inch gets a tad bigger. Gone are the big bezels from previous iPads as everything is slimmer. Due to that happening, Apple killed the headphone jack but at this point, I’m surprised it was still there.
As far as specs, the 11inch has a 2388 x 1668 panel + the 12.9inch has a 2732 x 2048 panel that Apple calls Liquid Retina Display both offer their ProMotion 120Hz screens, both are powered by their A12X Bionic CPU, you got Face ID present for security & support for Animoji + Memojis, 64GB of storage and goes up to 1TB, rear-facing f/1.8 12MP camera capable of 4K video @60fps + front-facing f/2.2 7MP camera – both supports Apple Smart HDR photos from the iPhone Xs/Xr, 5 mics, 4-speaker audio, USB-C for charging and a 10-hour battery that can charge your iPhone.
The 2nd-gen Apple Pencil attaches magnetically to your iPad Pro and that’s how it charges. So no more ridiculous way to charge your Apple Pencil. It supports new gestures that are open to 3rd-party developers. They want $129 for it though. And their new Smart Keyboard can now sit in 2 different typing angles instead of just one. Unfortunately, they now want $179 for it though.
The new iPad Pro starts at $799 for the 11inch + $999 for the 12.9inch model. You can reserve yours today as it goes on sale on November 7th.
Are all of new changes on-board enough for you to pick one up?
