Yesterday at the Detroit Auto Show, Cadillac teased us on what their vision of electric vehicles will look like. And yes, this is an SUV-style/crossover vehicle to be their 1st.
Unfortunately, other than the images above, that’s all we got from Cadillac. No mile range, no specs, no battery capacity, and no name. They will be using their next-gen EV platform to allow for many different vehicle types & utilize front, rear, or all-wheel drive configurations. All of this could lead to a shortly development cycle to get their EVs out quicker to better react to consumer demand and compete in the EV market.
This will kick off GM’s future to eventually move into an all-electric future. So get ready for Cadillac and other carmakers to go hard on the EV train over the next few years. Yeah, Tesla is about to have some serious competition after a while.
