While you’re still drooling over the new shiny toy that is the Samsung Galaxy S10 line of smartphones, there’s some news to share about it.  Bad news, is that the Bixby is still present but the good news is that you can remap it out of the box.

So no more using a 3rd-party app involved or being able to just turn it on/off.  You’ll be able to go into Settings and choose what app you want the Bixby button to open.  However, if you can still access Bixby w/ a double press and holding down the button  will still open Bixby Voice.  No word yet if the Bixby remapping feature will make its way to older Galaxy devices running the Android Pie One UI.

Also, w/ the new Infinity O Display taking up like 90% of the front of the device, there isn’t much room for anything else.  With that, I’m referring to the LED notification light.   So yeah, that feature that’s been around since the 1st Galaxy S device is now gone.  So yeah, there’s that.

Is this a bonus incentive to get you to pick up an S10?
