Apple is definitely about to do the thing we knew hoped they would do and very soon too. Based on a report from the folks over at Bloomberg, Apple may finally combine their iPhone, iPad, & Mac apps – sort of.
Now don’t expect them to actually merge all of the apps but will work more like Microsoft’s Universal Apps of devs pushing one app across several platforms. The report suggests that the plan is to have everything finalized by 2021.
Apple began kicking things off in 2017 when they added iOS apps to the Mac w/ News, Stocks, Home, & Voice Memos. I am interested in seeing how Apple fully executes this over the next 2 years. Whatever the case, we’re expecting to hear more about this at WWDC this year – hopefully.
Does this get you more interested in future Apple apps or not really?
