This is the news I know some if not most of you have been waiting for: Xbox game streaming service. They’ve been teasing it under the project xCloud name and they must be close to being ready as they now have a soft launch date.
The game streaming service is set to arrive as a preview later this year in October. Microsoft has also been testing the service w/ Xbox controllers connected to smartphones & PCs as well. So there maybe a future for the service outside of the Xbox console. Pretty much what Google is doing w/ Stadia.
We still don’t know details like bandwidth requirements, official launch date, pricing, or the official name. Hopefully as we get closer to October, these things will get revealed.
