While we’re still a few month short months away from the 2019 iPhones, there’s already a small buzz about what to expect for next year. And if these reports are true, some of you might want to wait until next year. This year’s models is said to offer a 3rd rear camera, faster charging, bigger batteries, no more 3D Touch, and new OLED displays.
According to a report on MyDrivers, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the iPhones of 2020 will be adding a 3rd size , so we’d be looking at a smaller 5.4inch to replace the current 5.8inch, a 6.1inch OLED XR, and a larger 6.7inch Max model. We’re expecting that at least 2 out of the 3 models would offer 5G support. A new rear-facing 3D mapping technology similar to what’s used in Face ID to beef up AR/VR abilities.
This was said to arrive in this year’s iPhones but won’t be ready yet. And speaking of Face ID, their true depth sensor in the front is said to get a bit smaller to take up less space. So that’s where we get a the floating notch in the center of the display seen above.
So between the images above and the info we’ve just shared, is this enough to make you wait it out a year for a new iPhone? Or nah? Sound off.
