Earlier today, Amazon held an event to unveil several new products to the masses. This is one of them. Say hello to the ‘new’ Fire TV Cube from Amazon. I’m using quotations for new cuz it looks just like the previous model but inside & its abilities is where the difference lies.
For starters, you now have a new faster hexa-core processor, support for 4K @60fps, up to HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and their new feature called Local Voice Control. This last one I mentioned allows for faster interpretation of commands by not having to send the info to their larger server. This makes voice commands up to 4x faster than before. Outside of those things, you can better voice support for navigation, Alexa support, and plenty of ports to support your home theater.
The new & improved Fire TV Cube is due out on October 10th for $120. Even though is has the same price tag as the previous model, not sure if the new features will get many to upgrade.
