Last time Blue Microphones dropped a new mic, it was earlier this year w/ the Ember XLR mic. Now they’re back w/ something new for the USB crowd. Meet the new Yeti X mic along w/ their new Blue Voice software.
Think of this as the 2019 Yeti in a Nano body.
So the new mic offers 4 Blue 14mm condenser capsules capable of 24-bit resolution, custom LED lighting for streamer crowd, a built-in headphone amp, and retains the 4 direction patterns w cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional, & stereo. You also have an LED metering for visual feedback for vocal levels and a smart knob for faster control over mic features.
The new Blue Voice software is their new software via Logitech’s G Hub platform that allows users to control mic gain + headphone volume, ways to monitor, and pickup patterns. You can also choose between a variety of presets for different voices/scenarios, access EQ, noise-reduction, compression, limiter, and more. And it is free BTW.
The new Yeti X microphone is due out in a few weeks in October for $170. Will you be picking this up to add to your creator tools for podcasting + game streaming?
