Even though we still have a few weeks before the actual Pixel 4 event, we’re getting some new that more hardware is coming to be unveiled.  So far we’re anticipating the new smartphones, the Pixelbook 2, and a new Nest Home Mini.  Based on the latest findings, we might get an updated take on Google Wi-Fi as well.

According to the folks over at 9to5Google, the new version of Google Wi-Fi will join the Nest branding as be called Nest Wi-Fi.  Don’t fret, there’s an actual reason for the name change.  This is said to be an updated mesh-based system that will support the new+ faster Wi-Fi 6 but they decided to more to it.  Google is said to add support for pluggable beacons that will have Google Assistant speakers built-in.  All while giving you the power of Google Assistant over Google Minis across your home.

While I was slightly interested in Google Wi-Fi a few years back, this might be a much better iteration of it to get more people interested in it.  We got a few weeks to see what actually comes into fruition or not.
