Today, Huawei kicks off their event w/ new products that will hopefully make it here in the US.  We’re starting off w/ their new smartwatch.  Meet the new-and-improved Huawei Watch GT 2 running LiteOS – just like the previous model.

Outside of updated specs, they added Bluetooth 5.1 + more internal storage.

The Watch GT 2 will arrive in 2 sizes of 42mm (1.2inch 390 x 390 AMOLED display) and 46mm (1.39inch 454 x 454 resolution AMOLED display) models.  Both are powered by the new Kirin A1 CPU, Bluetooth 5.1 that now adds Bluetooth phone calls, GPS, optical heart-rate sensors, water-resistant up to 50 meters for 10 minutes or 164ft, 2GB of internal storage capable of holding up to 500 songs, and built-in speaker for phone calls/music.

You got modes to track up to 15 sports like running, walking, hiking, trail running, cycling, open water swimming, treadmill walks/runs, row machine, elliptical training, free weights, and more.  It can also track your sleeping & breathing patterns via the Huawei Health app.

No word as of yet on US availability and pricing as of yet.  Is this something you’d be interested in or is the lack of WearOS a turn off?
