While it has been a bit on the quiet side for Tesla, they dropped some big news yesterday for owners.  They dropped version 10 of their software as it brings a lot more to things to your electric car for entertainment, convenience, and more.  Let’s dive into all that’s new.

  • So you’ll see cool things like Spotify Premium, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu w/ Live TV services coming to that lovely large display on the center console – but only when you’re parked.
  • You got a new Caraoke feature that gives you a large music library consisting song lyrics w/ support for multiple languages for you and your passengers to sing along.
  • Tesla Arcade adds the complete 1st level of the Cuphead game.
  • You got a new Smart Summon feature that lets your car be summoned from a parking space, move around things and come to you – just as long as you have enhanced autopilot + full self-driving software.  You also need to be in your car’s line of sight as well to pull this off.
  • There’s a new Joe Mode that will prevent you from waking up sleeping passengers by lowering the volume of the music + alerts.
  • You got new update to the Tesla mobile app that gives you more control for things like opening and closing your garage door via HomeLink, defrosting your vehicle’s cabin at the maximum temperature, and remotely controlling your Model 3 and Model X windows.

So there you have it!  If you own a Tesla, its gonna get even better.  Expect the update to roll out over the next week or so via OTA.  Which new feature are you looking forward to using?
