So in case you didn’t know, we got another streaming service coming before the end of the year – actually before the end of the month. So we already got HBO Max and Disney+ coming soon but there is one more: BET+.
That’s right, Tyler Perry Studios & Viacom teamed up to create a streaming service for BET. And they’re not coming empty-handed either as they will have more 1,000 hours of programming at launch on both Android + iOS. So where does Tyler come into play? All of his backlog of content (so all of his Madea movies, non-Madea movies, and TV shows) is coming to the service.
We’re also getting original standup specials by Lil Rel, Nick Cannon, Sasheer Zamata and more. What else? We got First Wives Club series starring Jill Scott, Will Packer’s Bigger series, Tyler Perry’s Sistas series, all of Tyler Perry’s plays as well, the entire Martin series, and all of BET’s Comic View series.
So its coming as soon as next week. This is coming on September 19th and will be priced at $10 per month. I’ve seen the commercials for it and it actually looks interesting. What do you think about BET’s new streaming service?
