We’re only a few short days away from this year’s iPhone announcement from Apple. Samsung already went, Google is up next and now its Apple’s turn for show-and-tell. We got a roundup of all of the leaks & rumors on what’s coming – allegedly.
Let’s dive into what we are expecting shall we?
The New iPhones
Kicking things off w/ the star of the show: the new iPhones. In regards to the name of it, the reports are a bit conflicting of what it would be. On one-side we got the iPhone 11 & 11 Pro for the larger side. On the other end we got the regular iPhones as the iPhone 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max while the updated iPhone XR will be the iPhone 11. We’ll see in a few days what it really is.
The standard iPhones will offer the same 5.8inch + 6.5inch OLED displays while the new XR will have the same 6.1inch LCD display, powered by their newer A13 CPU, offer better Face ID, add reverse wireless charging, slightly stronger glass for the overall build, and no more 3D Touch present.
In regards to the shooters, the standard models will offer a new 3rd lens and the new XR will now have 2 lenses. The new 3rd lens will add a wide-angle lens and offer a new option to shoot with. This will also bring forth a new mode that will utilize all 3 cameras + AI to put all shots together. The new XR will offer a new telephoto lens that brings forth optical zoom to the mix. We’re expecting new color options for them as well.
Apple Watch Series 5
So we’re not expecting any huge change coming to the Apple Watch since we got a huge change last year for the Series 4. For the most we’re expecting a faster CPU inside and faster overall experience thanks to watchOS 6. Outside of that, the only thing we saw was new was the additional option of ceramic + titanium cases and sleep tracking abilities. And you can’t have another Apple Watch launch w/o some new strap color options. That’s really about it on that matter.
16inch MacBook Pro
This one has been one some people have been waiting for since the rumors have begun. The new professional-grade laptop is shooting to be geared towards YouTubers (maybe?) & film editors. The bigger laptop is supposed to be redesigned utilizing a new LCD panel w/ a 3072 x 1920 resolution, probably the new Core i9 chipset, and the GPU is said to go up to a Radeon Pro Vega 20 w/ 4GB of memory. Rumors have it starting at around $3,000 so you’re gonna want to really want it at that price.
Apple TV
It’s been a while but we’re expecting new Apple TV hardware. Which would work alongside w/ the launch of their new Apple Arcade & Apple TV+ services. The new hardware would offer a new A12 CPU to better keep up w/ both of them.
Apple Tag
Looks like Apple is stepping on Tile’s toes w/ this new product. Get ready for the Apple Tag, a Bluetooth tracking tag to keep up w/ your items. It is said to utilize AR to help find your things. We’ll see how it all works.
More Tidbits
- We might get those new Noise-Canceling AirPods but probably drop next year.
- We may get the reveal of the more affordable HomePod.
- New iPads or iPad Pros and will kill off the 9.7inch entry-level model.
