Last night at the 2019 Game Awards, Microsoft took to the stage gave the world its 1st look at their next-gen console.  Say goodbye to the Project Scarlett codename and say hello to the Xbox Series X.  So Microsoft apparently stopped trying to make a gaming console and just made a powerful gaming PC.  The Series X looks like a powerful gaming PC tower sitting horizontally w/ the signature logo/Power button on the top left corner on the front.

It will be more powerful than any other Xbox before (obviously) as it will be capable of things like 4K @60fps gaming that can go up to 120fps + 8K, support for VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and auto low-latency mode as well.  Inside its GPU will be capable of processing up to 12 teraflops of graphical performance thanks to their custom AMD CPU, Navi graphics technology, faster RAM, and next-gen SSD.

And that’s all we really know about it.  Rumors say there will be more consoles from this line henceforth the name Series X instead of just being the Xbox X or something like that.  I know, I know.  Its like they just dropped the Xbox One X which was their high-end console but they had another one in the tuck.  Anyways, this is due out next year in time for the holidays as we should see more games set to arrive for it this summer for E3.

They’re new consoles usually cost $500 but there is a chance this could be more $$.  Whatever the case, you better start saving up for it now.
