Now w/ CES officially in our rear-view mirror, today there’s plenty of news to get us hyped about the rest of the year that awaits us. One of them is the upcoming flagship from OnePlus. Why might you ask?
They confirmed earlier today that they will be officially pushing their displays to 120Hz refresh rates. They will be calling this their Fluid Display for marketing. So along w/ the smoother movements this will also bring us an overall brighter display over 1,000 nits (units to measure brightness), 10-bit color for better color accuracy, and MEMC to beef up video frame rates.
All of this will only require a total of 30 more seconds on the assembly line to add. OnePlus displays were always amazing and sounds like they’re gonna get even better. FYI: OnePlus is still using Samsung’s AMOLED panels as well so I’m sure this feature will be on this year’s Galaxy flagships as well.
Now I need them to put this amount of energy into their cameras. But that’s just me.
Thoughts?
