Earlier this week, our friends over at Kingston dropped their latest Canvas series of microSD and SD cards w/ the Canvas Plus line. The big deal about these is that these guys can now handle up to 8K video.
So the new microSD & SD cards support UHS-II that handles up to 300Mbps read & 260Mbps write speeds. The fastest 8K supported cards goes up to 256GB of storage. But for those of you looking to pick one up, make sure you pick up the Canvas React Plus card for the 8K-ready speeds. You’ll have the Canvas Go! Plus for your 4K needs and the Canvas Select Plus for everything else.
Also to go along w/ the new cards is a new card reader to support the new speeds as well w/ the MobileLite Plus SD reader. This will handle USB 3.2 Gen 1 to support both UHS-II & UHS-I to handle every SD card imaginable.
The more powerful 8K-ready Canvas React Plus will cost you $266 for the 256GB model. The MobileLite Plus SD reader will cost you just under $10 for microSD model and the SD model goes over $10.
