After being leaked/teased last week, Sony made their newest & most powerful point-and-shoot camera official.  Introducing the new Sony ZV-1 pocket camera made specifically for content creation.  Made in the same vein as the RX100 pocket camera from Sony.Let’s dive into all that it has to offer.

The ZV-1 offers a 20.1MP Exmor RS image sensor, powered by Sony’s BIONZ X image processor, a f/1.8-f/2.8 28-70mm Zeiss lens capable of 3x optical zoom + 11x digital zoom, built-in ND filter, capable of shooting 4K video, slow-motion up to 960fps, a 3-mic array for better audio, Sony’s Eye AF system comprised of 315 autofocus points w/ a Bokeh mode to blur out the background, combined optical + electronic image stabilization, a flip out touchscreen LCD display, and a 3.5mm mic jack for external audio.

The only things to compromise about are not having a magnesium body, no flash built-in, and it used a micro-USB for charging not USB-C.  You can get all of this for only $749 when you buy one before June 28th and afterwards, it goes up to $799.  There is also a Vlogger Kit  that adds the Bluetooth Grip for $50 off when you buy it w/ the ZV-1 but can be bought separately for $149.  The ZV-1 is expected to drop on June 11th.

Will you be picking this one up?
