Next up at Apple’s WWDC for 2020 is an update for their iPadOS.  This brings us up to v14 as it brings over some of the goodies from iOS 14 while adding on top of what they did last year when they introduced iPad OS.

  • So the update brings us a new smaller design for incoming phone calls & FaceTime calls.
  • Brings over the smaller Siri interactions & ability to send audio messages.
  • You finally have the option to make other apps outside of the native ones default for email & browser.
  • New Universal Search bar.
  • New sidebars & toolbars within apps now.
  • Scribble for iPad allows you to turn handwritten notes into typed text.
  • New AR abilities via new ARKit4.
  • New privacy & accessibility features.

The developer preview for iPadOS 14 kicks off today w/ the public beta kicking off next month w/ new software features coming this fall.  The new update will be available for iPads going back to the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, 5th-gen iPad, & all versions of the iPad Pro.
