So after months of delays and waiting, Google made the Pixel 4a official along w/ its specs + pricing. Due to the pandemic & the cancellation of I/O & every other conference this year, Google sat on it for a while. But we got everything you need to know about it. Yes, it and not them – one storage size and no XL version – yet.
The 4a will offer 5.8inch OLED display w/ a 2340 x 1080 resolution, a Snapdragon 730G CPU, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a f/1.7 12.2MP rear camera w/ OIS + EIS/dual phase detection auto-focus/capable of 4K@30fps, 1080p@ up to 120fps, a f/2.0 8MP selfie camera, running Android 10, rear fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, headphone jack, Titan M security chip, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C for charging, and a 3140 mAh battery w/ 18W fast-charging but no wireless charging.
The 4a will also support Pixel 4 software features like Night Sight w/ astrophotography, Live Caption app, Recorder, Personal Safety app, and the latest version of Google Assistant. You will also get a 3-month trial of YouTube Premium, Google Play Pass, and Google One storage as well. So instead of the 64GB base model of storage, we’re getting double at that at 128GB for only $349 & coming on August 20th.
