While others are doing folding smartphones, LG is doing something different.  Now we talked about the LG Wing previously and now it is official.  This is LG’s futuristic form factor that still offers dual screen real estate.  This is the 1st device from LG’s Explorer Project that bring technology to life.  Let’s get into all that it has to offer.

So the LG Wing is a different way to look at multitasking as a whole.  It will allow you to watch video on the larger display in landscape mode while still being able to chat, take calls, use GPS, and many other use-case scenarios or vice-versa.  When using this in Swivel mode, it will act as a grip for shooting video.  LG put a Gimbal Motion Camera inside to assist w/ the stabilization.

As far as what’re the specs looking like, LG put a 6.8inch P OLED 1080p display that swivels 90-degrees to use the smaller 3.9inch OLED, powered by a Snapdragon 765G CPU w/ 5G support, 8GB of RAM, choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage, a triple rear-camera consisting of a f/1.8 64MP standard, f/1.9 13MP wide, + f/2.2 12MP ultra-wide w/ Big Pixels, you got a f/1.9 32MP pop-up selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, running Android 10 w/ LG UX, and a 4000 mAh battery w/ fast wired + wireless charging.  Due to the swivel, don’t expect any IP-rating.

No word yet on pricing or exact availability but LG is bringing this to Korea next month followed by the US & Europe.  It will come to Verizon first, followed by AT&T and T-Mobile.
