Sony’s Xperia phone line have been beefing things up in regards to their features, spec sheet, & tapping into their Sony ecosystem a bit.  Let’s talk about what the latest one has to offer & what it can do. 

The Xperia 5 II will offer a 6.1inch FHD+ HDR w/ 120Hz refresh rate + 240Hz Motion Blur, powered by a Snapdragon 865 CPU, IP65/68 dust/water-resistant body, front-facing dual stereo speakers w/ Dolby Atmos support + 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G speeds to just about everywhere save the US, and a 4000 mAh battery.  

You will have triple camera setup on the rear consisting of different ranges.  You got a 16mm f/2.2 12MP, a 70mm f/2.4 12MP, and a 24mm f/1.7 12MP sensors.  They’re powered by Sony’s Cinematography Pro feature that grants you 8 color management pre-sets and wind filter technology + audio separation.  The Xperia 5 II will also be the 1st smartphone to offer 4K HDR 120fps slow-motion video w/ playback up to 5x slow-motion @24fps.  And lastly, you can use this phone as an external monitor via HDMI for your Sony camera.  

The Xperia 5 II will be great for gaming.  So much so that Xperia is the official smartphone for the Call Of Duty: Mobile World Championship Tournament 2020.  The newest Xperia will cost you $950 w/ pre-orders kicking off on September 29th & goes on sale on December 4th.
